I'm glad you found Gunsense, a blog that rose out of resistance to Arkansas legislation designed to put guns on our school campuses, but a blog that strives now, as I support the gun-violence prevention movement, to raise awareness about systemic violence in America and the need for creative strategies to address it. I will bring a range of responses, from nonviolence education to legislative initiatives, to these issues, but I am also interested in the intersection of social reform and spiritual practice. Much of what I have to say in this area looks toward Asia and its long, distinguished tradition of nonviolence, but I speak always with an American inflection. Facts, figures, statistics, theories, assumptions, opinions, spirituality—you'll find them all here.
Together we can forge creative solutions!
