Desiderata

If you're actually sitting around the table--which means you're enrolled--there are several things you have to do if you want to get both the credit and the grade.  If you're not at the table, then you're not enrolled, so then you're free to read & write, and only read & write.  (And those of us at the table envy you--we all should have it so good.)  Here's what you must do, though, to stay at the table:

• You have to be here, and you have to talk.  Which means you have to have done the reading.  If you're going to miss class, please let me know in advance if at all possible.
• You have to post on time.
• Each of you will post every other week and offer comments on the postings on your off-week.
• Your grade will be derived from three sources:  1) your postings and, to a lesser degree, 2) your posted comments on others' postings, and 3) your participation in class.  Percentages:  50/25/25.
